I need a crystal ball!

I need something to see into the future. That way I could choose people I do buisness with a little better. While building the coupe I am always hunting for people who can do a good job and who are passionate about their craft. It's more fun working with people if the like the movie and the car also.

My problem is I keep running into great salesman not great people. I don't think the work I want done is that hard but somehow it always turns into a big deal. It's like walking up to the parts counter and saying cadilliac It's the same part as a chevette but the caddy price book is way diffrent. The simplest things go so totaly wrong.

You spend all kinds of time and money hunting for the propper parts. Then when you finally have all the peices needed to do the job the person you entrust your goods to looses your parts and replaces them with some reproduction parts that are NOT the same as the original you once had. So to get your incorrect items returned you pay the ransom and get a nice excuse "I don't know what happened to it" "Sorry" How is it that I find them all? Or is it just there are so many out there like this chances are you will need to deal with them.

Well I have asked as nicely as possible and only time will tell if I will see my original peices again. I really doubt it! I guess this is what happens when you entrust someone you know nothing about other than what they tell you. So almost a year and a half later a whole bunch of dead presidents and now I am hunting for the the parts I once owned and another guy I can pay to do the job that I wanted done in the first place.

My advise to any builder. Use local people. Someone who you can check up on. Or atleast someone you can check there work and refrences on. This project cost's enough with out having to pay for it all two times. Good luck out there.
